This site offers educators and researchers the latest in scientific and scholarly information about race and human variation. The Power of an Illusion: This site is the online companion to a PBS 3-part series on race in science, society, and history. Particularly useful are the links to background readings and resources. Also interesting are the interactive links including a link on sorting people that addresses the subjectivity involved in categorizing people on the basis of appearance. Tangled Roots:Tangled Roots is a research project about the shared history of African Americans and Irish Americans. This site contains a collection of primary documents from the 17th century to the provide portraits of people and events from the history of African and Irish Americans and to further understand the tangled roots of race and ethnicity in America.
